On November 7th, we celebrated the Eco-Schools World Day of Action.
To take part of this international event, we visited the Kindergarten of Figueiredo to deliver the banner of this year’s Eco-Schools.
We talked to the students of three, four and five years old about the importance of separating the trash. I gave each room new eco waste bins for all the students’ families to use.
The main message we sent them is that we need to save energy and water, not to mistreat animals and protect plants, because they give us oxygen and consume carbon dioxide, a polluting gas that causes climate change.
All students took a photo with the banner of Eco-schools.
Educators Graça and Rita then organized a painting session of the eco-schools logo, so that all students can, from now on, identify this symbol as the Eco-schools symbol and start from such young age to protect the environment and this Earth that belongs to everyone.
