On November 7, International Day of Eco_Schools, at 10.15 am, the Educational Community of the Agrupamento de Escolas Dr. Serafim Leite attended the school’s entrance yard to participate in the Hoist of the Eco_Schools Green Flag, a recognition of the work developed concerning the Sustainability of the Earth. The coordinator of the project, Cristina Tavares, recalled that this is an international project, because environmental issues are global, which has three basic themes that are water, energy and waste. An existing facility in the school yard called the attention to the need for ALL to proceed to the correct separation of waste, so that they can be properly sent to Recycling, although reducing the production of waste is more environmentally friendly and the one that, in a more effective way, promotes the sustainability of the Earth and the quality of life of future generations. The town hall is the school partner and it was present at the event reinforcing the message to the students that ” all together, we must work to make our city more and more sustainable.”
